Table Lamp from Vintage Royal Delft Blue Vase—Mark
Introducing Mark, inspired by and named after the iconic American interior designer, Mark D. Sikes, renowned for his signature blue and white palettes. This one-of-a-kind table lamp is meticulously handcrafted from a vintage Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) Blue (Delfts Blauw) vase. It is elegantly complemented by a custom contemporary white satin lampshade with a striking cobalt blue trim, fashioned in a specialized atelier near Amsterdam.
The lamp's base, a round vase, was handmade and exquisitely hand-painted with a floral motif by one of Royal Delft’s master artisans, M.H. van Aalst. A testament to its authenticity, it bears the Royal Delft year marking 'CT' from 1974 on its underside along with the painters initials ‘MA’.

De Porceleyne Fles, later given the distinction of Koninklijke or Royal, known now as Royal Delft, is a Dutch manufacturer of Delft Blue pottery, or Delfts Blauw aardewerk, headquartered in Delft, the Netherlands. It is the only remaining ceramics factory out of 32 that were established in Delft during the 17th century. Founded in 1653, it has been active for over 360 years without interruption. Royal Delft is not only the oldest surviving producer of Delftware, but one that is highly respected for its artistry. The motifs on Delft Blue ceramics find their roots in the Chinese porcelain from the Ming and K‟ang Hsi dynasties.
