This heritage design, rediscovered by Amitābha Studio, was first documented in the 1904 Parisian advertisements for Faiencerie de Delft (Hollande). This very design, which captivated Parisian audiences and was celebrated in further creations in 1914 and 1925, is now revived in this exclusive collaboration.
After it leaves the kiln at Royal Delft, the lamp travels to Amsterdam-based Amitābha Studio, where the hand-painted base is lovingly transformed into a functional work of art. This partnership culminates in a statement piece that delights the senses with its bespoke, hand-made saffron Dupion silk lampshade, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. De Porceleyne Fles, later given the distinction of Koninklijke or Royal, known now as Royal Delft, is a Dutch manufacturer of Delft Blue pottery, or Delfts Blauw aardewerk, headquartered in Delft, the Netherlands. It is the only remaining ceramics factory out of 32 that were established in Delft during the 17th century. Founded in 1653, it has been active for over 360 years without interruption. Royal Delft is not only the oldest surviving producer of Delftware, but one that is highly respected for its artistry.
